Singer Scientist Danielle Williams, has been delighting audiences locally and abroad with her 'rich and sumptuous’ voice, expansive range, penchant for storytelling & vivid characterisations. at recitals, concerts, staged performances, and special events.
Danielle has been featured as a soloist with Carifesta XIV, Brian MacFarlane’s Christmas Joy Production, the Believe Concert Series, the Härnösand Opera Academy, Sweden and Festa Liricia Italiana, Italy. The Trinidad & Tobago Guardian commended her “superb laconic performance” as Prince Orlofsky in the Picoplat Music Development Foundation’s production of Die Fledermaus. She also “brought Cosette to life in such poignant way” in The BpTT Marionettes Chorale’s production of Les Misérables.
Soprano, Danielle Williams, holds an Artist Diploma in Music Performance (Voice) from The University of Trinidad and Tobago under the tutelage of the late Dr. Vertrelle Mickens. She then joined the Opera Studio program at the Härnösands Fölkhögskola in Härnösand studying with Karin Bengtsdotter Olsson, Anna Hanning & Dr. Jean-Ronald LaFond. She has worked with renowned vocal pedagogues, coaches and directors from Juilliard, Yale, the Manhattan School of Music, Musikhögskolan i Piteå, Sweden and Le Conservatoire de Nice, France.
Danielle Williams was awarded the Neil Latchman Bursary 2016 by the Patrons of Queen's Hall. In 2018, her original composition “Luminat” premiered at The Big Black Box and later at Queen’s Hall under the mentorship of Wendell Manwarren.
A graduate of The University of the West Indies, Danielle, completed her B.Sc. Biochemistry and Nutritional Sciences. She has served her country locally in the fields of Public Health, Wellness, Nutrition, Sales & Marketing. She is committed to advancing the fields of vocal science and pedagogy in the region & allowing the classical music world to explore Caribbean culture through our music.
